Will I get any OPT problem if I transfer to another university after 1st sem?

Question

I am International student and I have applied for some universities for mechanical. I opted for one university among 2 admits and I came to know that these both colleges are not up to standards and so I thought of applying some reputed university now. But the dead lines were over. So I thought of studying one semester in this college and if every thing goes well, I will continue there. Otherwise I want to get transfer to better college after 1 sem. But I heard that these days transferring colleges is affecting the OPT. Kindly do provide information regarding that. Please do needful. Thanks in advance.

You get OPT after completing the college requirements (graduation), changing college will not impact your OPT. Credits are transferred to other college depending on the course work, else you may need to attain more credits based on the course and college to graduate
